Ashley Hathaway—Me!

Hi there! I'm a graphic designer looking for a position as a front-end web developer. I'm a hard working, dependable individual accustomed to working in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment with 4 years of corporate team experience and 8 years total experience. I work well under pressure and always enjoy a challenge. An ideal position would be one where I can learn and develop additional skills as a web developer and have fun doing it.

I've just moved to New York in order to gain new experience, meet all the diverse range of people, and get exposed to all the artistic styles out here. I have experience in both the design and web realms of design, which I believe gives me a certain edge in this city.

For the past several years, I have been teaching myself web design with a particular focus in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (with an emphasis in jQuery). Below is just a short list of all my skills and qualifications:

  • Proficient in Adobe CS programs—Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
  • Good working knowledge in PHP
  • Good working knowledge in Flash
  • Great knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (jQuery)
  • Familiar with all Microsoft applications—Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Familiar with PC/Mac platforms, as well as all aspects of the Internet
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline oriented atmosphere
  • Hard working, dependable, and eager to learn
  • Freelance photographer
  • Published a work of historical fiction called "What Once Was Lost," 2009
